Karate and Dishwashers

Got up and took the boys to Daycare as usual on a Tuesday got home ready for my appointment with a Karate instructor who was trying to join up Tristan. I kinda knew about the club and had already decided to join him up but he still did the whole speech. He starts his first class next Monday. I am a bit nervous I hope he listens and does as he is told. That is the main reason I am joining him up so that he can learn respect and discipline and that you don't need to be so aggressive all of the time.
Then just after he left the Dishwasher man arrived to fix the dishwasher. Wonder what the neighbours were thinking. No kids and Two male callers for the morning. How funny! Hubby rang when the dishwasher man was there and he could hear him talking in the background. Turns out they have met before and have mutual friends.
So glad to have my dishwasher back. Although I must admit (never thought I would ever think this) I quite enjoyed having to do the dishes knowing that it was only for a week or so cause the kids actually left me alone. When I pack the dishwasher they want to help and Seth trys to climb in but for some reason they weren't interested in me while doing the dishes the old fashion way. (Except to play with the rubber gloves)
Well after my monster post last time I wont make this one too long.
Till next time.

Birthday Fun and Racing Cars

My baby sister turned 26 today yehh!!!!! She is currently 20 weeks pregs with her and her hubbys' first bub, and they are so clucky, it cracks me up. Before they decided to have a baby her hubby was adamant he was never going to have children (but we all knew it was a big facade) I must admit though I was very surprised (I cried with excitement) when they told everyone. I honestly thought it would have taken them a few more years to make up their minds. She managed to keep the whole trying thing a secret from me. We are very close and talk just about every day. She did tell me that it was very hard for her and she nearly slipped so many times. Very well done! I dont think I could have kept a secret like that from her.
So this morning I went and picked her and our Dad up (Mum does night shift and sleeps during the morning) and we all went shopping which was the usual can't find what I want and the kids being extremely annoying with the I wants. But the highlight of the trip was the first garage sale that we stopped at on the way, I scoreded a SLR manual 35mm camera with 3 seperate lenses included for $60. Couldn't believe my luck!!! All morning I was thinking there has to be a catch but when I got home put new batteries in everything (camera and flash) it seemed to work fine. Can't say that my fabulous photography will be anything to boast about but I wont know till I put the film in to get developed. That sounds so weird........Film.......No instant photos, it is going to drive me bananas waiting to fill up the film before I can get it developed. Lucky I have so many birthdays in the next couple of weeks. I think I will still double up with my digital camera, I would hate to get the film back and have all of the photos being out of focus etc. Even though I did Film and T.V. at school that was 13 years ago I can't be expected to remember that now can I.
Hubby decided that he couldn't wait until next Sunday for Fathers Day so he went and bought his present today. Wait for it...........he came home with a AFX racing car kit. I must admit he did do a good job with the boys this afternoon teaching them how to race. Tristan (4 & half) picked it up really quickly but Seth (2 & half) stuggled a bit with quite a few flying racing car accidents due to him not understanding that it can't go that fast around corners. A few tears (from both Seth and Hubby, hahaha) and a couple of talks later and everyone was happy. I got the...AND YOU THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE TOO YOUNG TO PLAY THIS... told you so talk at the end of the day. Sorry I was wrong and you were right..........for now anyway.
Michael also found a garage sale today opposite the job site he worked on and bought the boys some bits and pieces to play with. (he would never go to a garage sale with me! LOL) So my day was filled with toys for young and older. Michael finally had a half day off work, first one in 3 weeks and it was great for me and the boys to finally get to spend some time with him.
The kids have gone to bed all hyped up and totally not ready for sleep but very tired, Michael fell asleep at about 9pm (which is a really late night for him he is usually in bed by 7.30pm) he is working again tomorrow, third Sunday in a row.
I am going to continue reading the Da Vinci Code and then go and get some beauty sleep for breakfast with everyone in the morning for Donna's Birthday Party.
Hopefully I will have some photos soon to post.

I Love Taking Photos

This photo of me and Seth is actually one he took with his arm stretched out I haven't edited it at all. So impressed with how well it turned out.

I was showing hubby all of the photos I took of the kids at the beach the other day and Seth decided he wanted to take some photos so hesitantly I handed him the camera and we actually got a couple of good photos not bad for a two year old. So then it turned into an improptu photo shoot with everyone having a go of the camera, we were all laughing so much. My favourite is the one of all of the boys pretend sleeping, as you can see Seth couldn't pretend sleep without the sound effects it was so hard for everyone else not to laugh. Now I just have to scrap them.

Hello Everyone

Well has been a very busy couple of days!!!! My darling sons have been unbelievably naughty lately and I have not been in the frame of mind to deal with it so they have been getting worse until Tristan had a huge punch up with our 5 1/2 year old neighbour and got knocked on his arse. I was hoping that he would realise that he couldn't get away with being so demanding and expecting everyone to go his way but it only made him worse and more aggressive. So we have been having the last two days of major pulling back into line which (unfortunately) I know isn't over yet! Hopefully it shouldn't take too many more days to get him back to normal. The worst part is Seth watches and copies everything Tristan does. Monkey see monkey do!!!
Michaels' business is doing really well but that means he has to work 7 days a week for a while until he gets everything in order and wait for it to settle down. They have had to put their prices up cause they have been getting every job that they quote hence the reason they have so much work to catch up on. Hope he gives himself a break soon. For his sake!
As for me I am tired. With Michael working so much I feel like a single mum even though he has been making a really big effort to be there for quality time with the boys. The boys are rebelling by being really naughty and constantly saying I want my Daddy, I miss my Daddy when he is at work. Which breaks my heart every time they say it cause I know we need Michael to work but they don't understand why he has to go to work. And then when Michael gets home all they want is me. Go figure?
Going to go to bed now
Until next time

Hello again just have to post this photo so I can change my profile photo.

Bye Bye for now xxxooo

Weight issues

Monday I am going on a diet and I am getting something to help me lose weight (I have a pulled muscle in the back of my leg and am not allowed to do heavy exercise). I know that I am not fat but I am definately over weight and NONE of my clothes fit me properly, these jeans are the only pants in my cupboard that fit, my belt snapped and I have to wear my hubbys. Funny how you dont realize that the weight is slowly pileing on untill you see a photo of yourself. Today Me and the boys and my Dad went to Palmwoods to see Michael at work and then we went to the park to go for a walk and for the boys to ride thier bikes (Seth still just pushes his) and play in the playground. I took my camera along as usual. I asked Dad to take some photos of me because I am always taking photos of everyone else but never seem to get any nice ones of myself or I always have a little body hanging off of me. Well not sure if I want any more photos of me for a while. I know it is important to record all of the stages of your life for the future but I wasn't prepared for these photos and these are the good ones. There were some shockers in the bunch especially since Tristan insisted on taking some photos so they were either not in focus or not smileing or trying to get Seth out of the photo plus photos being taken from a low level son not do you any justice.

Just tried to upload some more photos and blogger dosn't want to. (See even the computer doesn't want to see them! hahahaha)

Well the morning was really nice and the boys got so worn out they are both asleep which is really unusual for Tristan he seems to be able to take alot these days before he gets tired enough to sleep.

Untill next time

A trip to the cinema

Sethy just looks so gorgeous in this photo. I couldn't believe it when he fell asleep sitting bold upright. One minute he was talking to me and the next he was asleep. Just so beautiful. I was looking for a photo of Tristan to scrap the other day and I didn't realize how many photos of Seth I take and hardly any of Tristan anymore, suppose it doesn't help that he is never sitting still long enough for me to take one.

I took both of the boys to the cinema today to see Hoodwinked a task that I have only once before attempted. Well last time Seth fell asleep after about 10mins so I thought that if I took them to a 2.30pm session that Seth would surely fall asleep but no........ he jumped all around, ran along the seats, said in a very loud voice "let's go home Mum" several times, threw his blanket onto the seats behind us and then climbed over to get it back and then tried to do it again because it was fun laughing the whole time while I sink down in my seat pretending he wasn't my son. But I figured it was a Wednesday afternoon at a kids movie anyone going to see it at that time should expect kids to be there. And I have to admit he never went anywhere near anyone else considering there was only about 7 other people there and when the two of them went and sat in one of the rows in front of me I could barely hear them talking to each other and I know they don't know how to whisper. So I wont be taking Seth to the cinema again for another couple of years.

I made this page for my friend Hailey. I left the panel on the side empty so she do her own journaling. I just love it, it will be hard to give this page away since I spent hours cutting out the flowers and doing the stitching. Hope she likes it.

Took me a while to post this I wrote it on Wednesday but have only just had the time to sit down and fix up the photos.
Until next time

Hello

I have been feeling really funky lately I don't know if it is my hormones or something else but I have been not wanting to deal with anything. I am, surprisingly, starting to change my everyday routine like not wanting to watch T.V. (really weird) doing more house work and playing more with the kids ie. cooking, painting, drawing and I have been doing major clean outs (due to Tristan wanting his room back and me having to find room for all of my scraping stuff) I know it sounds like a normal day for many housewives but this is not a normal thing for me. I guess that this is just me finally growing up. Now I just havw to get my husband to grow up.

Until next time

Just a quickie

Have gotten heaps of cleaning done in the last few days. Trying to cram my scrap room into my linen cupboard, (not an easy task but I am coming up with some nifty ideas in the process) because my darling son wants his room back and has been so nice in asking, puting up some very good points in his favour eg. I can go to sleep without having to listen to Sethy crying. The best point of all is that he can have his toy box back and play with his toys without Seth. (good luck keeping Seth out). As they say "A change is as good as a holiday" and I definately need a holiday. I will take some photos of the transformation tomorrow and post them soon.
