Love the Gold Coast

Well we are home. I think 5 nights was just enough especially for the boys. Seth woke up yesterday morning crying saying I want to go home now. So here is the run down of our 2ND ever "REEDY FAMILY HOLIDAY".
  • To start off with as we are driving into Surfers I suddenly realize I forgot the Movie World tickets. Luckily my girlfriend, Em, was house sitting so she express posted them to us.

  • On Friday night we had a lovely dinner a our friend, Matt's, and meet his gorgeous girlfriend Shannon.

  • Saturday, ZINA's scrapbooking class was fabulous. I had a great time. I didn't get to finish either of my projects cause we were too busy talking. She is so lovely all 5 feet of her. LOL. I was so surprised when I first meet her she is beautiful and so tiny. The other girls were great too we all had heaps of laughs.

  • Sunday - we had breakfast at the Currumbin Surf lifesaving Club. And we saw the new Gold Coast footy team training. I think they are called the Vikings?

  • Then I got attacked by a cat fish. We went to the Currumbin Rock Pools and waterfall. So Beautiful I love waterfalls. After taking the mandatory photos we all went for a swim and Tristan said that something had bitten him and we all laughed thinking it was nothing. I went over to see cause he looked really freaked out and the little bugger bit me on the ankle. So we had to move to the deep part of the rock pool for a swim. A local guy warned us about it, after it had already bitten us. Great timing from him hey!

  • Monday we drove around the border towns and beaches and also, accidentally, up into the mountain tourist drive. Michael got lost! After giving me crap about my driving and taking wrong turns, etc. I pulled over and made him drive and he got us lost. I love it when it backfires on him. I really didn't care where we went because the boys were asleep so it was a lovely peaceful drive looking at trees and big, big houses and beautiful views.

  • Monday night we went to the Wax museum and a walk through the city.

  • Tuesday we went up the Q1 building the views were awesome but there was a little bit of cloud in the distance so we couldn't see as far as we should have been able to but it was still amazing. Then we did the shopping centres, Pacific Fair and Harbour town plus a couple of shops in between. Well I know boys don't like shopping but mine did OK. By one o'clock they were all ready to go home for a sleep but they persevered for my sake and I even got to get a massage by those Chinese guys in the middle of the shopping centre. They give the best massages ever I could have stayed there for hours.

  • Wednesday - we went to Movie World which was fun but we were all so tired by then we barely had enough energy to enjoy it. Seth cried on a couple of the rides which we thought was so funny cause one of them was a special kids ride about Bugs Bunny, but it was very dark.

  • Then we came home just in time to watch the storm go over with heaps of lightning. I LOVE STORMS!!!

So all in all we spent way too much money (especially on food) but we had a great FAMILY holiday.

Love Always

Holiday 3 more sleeps

Only three more sleeps till our holiday. (nearly wrote MY holiday.) I love the Gold Coast I don't know how it is so much different to the Sunshine Coast, probably is just that I have lived here all of my life. This is where we are staying it is only 2 streets away from the heart of the city so we can walk to the beach. The boys will be able to enjoy it more this year even though it has only been a year there is a big difference between being -nearly two to being nearly three- and I don't have to worry about bottles and cots and all of that annoying baby stuff.

Plus this year I get to go scrapbooking with *Zina* cant wait! I am so excited! I wish I could organise to meet all of my fave scrappers there on the one day wow that would be the best. (I don't think Elsie and Emily would fly over from America just to visit me.)

The SPA is up and running. I just don't know how it all works with all of the chemicals and the thing switches on and off all of the time. I am not looking forward to my next power bill at all. Plus I thought I would go and buy some pots and plants to put around it to make it look more like a little paradise I did not realize how much they all cost I am normally a market and second hand shopper but because I wanted 3 purple pots the same I had to go to a pot shop lucky they had a seconds section almost half price. Yeah for me! and plants you know all of those annoying palms that normally multiply in your garden when you don't want them to well they are $25 each If only I was a patient person then I would save a whole lot of money. Just tried to take some photos but the sun is to bright so maybe next time.

Baby Shower

Only Six weeks to go Donna. Nicole (our cousin) only 8 weeks to go.
The Baby shower went beautifully! I was really suprised at how well everyone (Men in the shed, with the kids, playing pool and table soccer) and the women inside. Everything work perfectly even though after so much planning we still ended up not being ready when people started to arrive. I was ducking out to get some last minute stuff from the shop and Donna was still in her P.J's which was so funny to me cause she had been up since 7am and the party started at 10am.
I hope everyone had a great time, Donna did. (Or so she told me.) Everyone seemed to be a bit stand-offish to start with so I started the games, word jumble and baby stuff guessing game and string around the belly, who is the closest (Can you believe two women actually got the exact same length.) Everyone settled in and relaxed. It was so good to see all of Donna's High School friends and our family and friends from afar, Janet, great to see you. Donna and I meet Janet at the Scrapbook City Retreat and we kept in contact by E-mail (I love my puta) So happy she was able to come up to see us, our turn to visit you now.
I still have some photos to post, next time.
I have to go and catch up on some sleep now.

Baby Shower

Arhhh!!! My baby sister (who is 26) is having a baby in about 7 weeks time. Even though at her age I had two, it still doesn't seem right she is my little sister. This photo is from the end of September her belly is about triple that size now and she looks amazing. She has hardly put on any weight and she is glowing.

Well anyway I am throwing her a baby shower this weekend and I am starting to go into panic mode. I mean I have organised most of the games and I have worked out what food we are eating I have bought heaps of stuff for her and the party but I still have this huge feeling that I am forgeting something. I just dont know what! Guess it will have to go wrong before I realize plus I am getting reflux which I always get when I am nervous. I have to relax and breath cause it doesn't matter if I forget anything cause I live just down the road. So only a few more days and I can start the food and hopefully work out what I have forgotten.

New Beta Blog

I just popped in to say hi and got invited to update my blog with a Google something or other thingy. so I thought why not I don't know what I am doing at the best of times so why not add some new confusion to the table. Ha.

Well I had my second ever lesson of Karate today and my goodness was it confusing. It is supposed to be a beginners class. My normal teachers were away today so I had two new teachers and they did so much more than what I was ready for. I looked like a total goose but it was still fun and everyone knew I was new cause I was the only one with out a uniform. I find it really hard not to just call out and ask when I dont understand something cause you know the whole respect thing, bowing and talking to your sensay (still not sure on the rules yet.) Still fun though.

So stoked!!!!!! I am doing a class with Zina Wright while I am down the Gold Coast (coincidence.... I think NOT!) and after reading her blog yesterday I am even more happy than ever cause she is cutting back on all of her scrapbooking commitments and classes to spend more time with her family. SO..... I have made it into one of her last classes for a while. So excited yaaahhhh.

Better leave something to talk about next time

I have My first comment

Thanks sissy for leaving me my first comment, now I know someone is reading my blog not that it is that exciting. Funny how you can get hooked on reading about other peoples lives it is very addictive. (for me anyway). How has the rain been? The wind has been pretty full on and the hail storm wow. My poor husband got stuck driving in it and his truck got a bit of a beating not too bad but you can see definite hail dents. Of course it dented the parts of the truck where the paint is good not the parts that need touching up. Ironic hey? My darling Seth was close by for the whole storm not scared but just cautious Tristan however couldn't give a stuff he was just annoyed that he couldn't hear his movie cause the rain on the tin roof is too loud. LOL (Dad in case you are wondering what LOL means - Laugh out Loud-)
I have been reading Elsie Flannagans book this week and I LOVE IT very inspirational. Would have loved to have gone to her class in Sydney last week end but alas....... maybe on her next trip to Australia or my trip to the U.S.? (never know it could happen.)
In other news MICHAEL is foing the MOVEMBER thing and raising money for mens cancer So if you would like to sponser him you can go to the website www.movember.com and then click on the sponser link and Michaels number is 43401 or you can email me.

Only two weeks till my holiday

Halloween

So I know we don't celebrate Halloween in Australia but hey why not go with the flow if you are going to have kid knocking on the door asking for lolls you may as well have some fun with it.
So I got this pumpkin out of my Mummy and Daddys garden (thankyou) and as you can guess we had pumpkin soup for dinner. I didn't realize it was so hard to cut the flesh out of a pumpkin when you have to go through a little hole in the top. So I cut the whole bottom off and then stuck it back on with tooth picks after I had scraped out all of the pumpkin. I did a terrible job but you couldn't tell when it had the candle in it and it was out side in the dark. Then I didn't know where to put it so I got a bar stool and chucked a sheet over it and told everyone that it was a ghost.

Just thinking about all of the things that there is to do in the next couple of months and now my head hurts lucky one of the things to do is a holiday can't wait. Gold Coast here we come. Only a couple more weeks. The count down begins. Hope I win some money on Melbourne Cup day to pay for everything.
