February Birthday Month Tristan turned 8, Seth turned 6 and I turned 32 I can't believe how fast time is going. The boys are having a great time at school Seth has the same class and teacher but Tristan has a new teacher and new class mates and so far it seems to be working well.

Monkeys up a tree that is Tristan right up the top........ biggest monkey of them all.

All of the kids were really good considering it was wet and yukky. The advantage was we had the whole park all to ourselves.

Well the last couple of months have been testing...... I have separated from my husband {my choice} long story but I feel so much better for the change. I have moved out and am living in a townhouse just down the road from the house so I am close as we are doing 50/50 shared care of the boys which is good but hard. I am still working like crazy at Bilo, of course Christmas shopping is always full on even in grocery shops.

I am loving life and enjoying finding me again........ as I said before I know everything will take a while to settle down but I am confident that everything will work out excellent.

Work and Play

Quick catch up

~ I now work at Bilo in the fruit and veg department which I love. The work is full on and constant never have time to think I am bored I have nothing to do, and I get to go to work and go home and not have to think about it until the next day. The crew I work with are all awesome and fun. Teacher Aide is on hold for now until the boys get a little older.

~ The Boys are doing well. Tristan has just finished his first year of Rugby League and LOVED IT!! Seth has given up on Gymnastics even though he was doing so well and had started training for competitions they are now both doing swimming lessons.

~ Michael has had a rough year he stuffed up his pelvis and had nearly 3 months off work and then the whole financial crisis and the building trade going to the shit etc..........hence the reason I am now working.

~ Other than that all is good and I am finally having a life again and partying with my new friends from work and getting paid for working instead of all of the volunteer work I was doing at the school trying to get paid work.

Surfing the Net

I have been surfing some blogs lately amazing what can happen in a short amount of time people have babies, start new careers, married and divorced (not the same people).

What have I been up to well...... nothing to exciting this has been a very busy year so far though.

I started my studies to be a Teacher Aide and the day after I got my first lot of paper work signed off by the supervisior I got called in to do a day casual work and it didn't seem to stop. So far this year I have only had 4 weeks where I haven't been called in at least one day.
Tristan started Rugby League and I put my hand up to be the first aide officer (got my first aide course for free). So training Tue and Thur and games on Saturday and even with all of the rain we have had they have only called off one game so far. Tristan is really good he has scored a try every week.
Seth is still doing Gymnastics every Monday and loving it so next term he will be going on Wednesdays also.
Not much time left in the week for anything else but to relax (trying to).

Internet

I was reminded today that I haven't posted for a really long time. I know but I have been having major internet and phone problems.
Long story short to try and save some money on my monthly bills Ive gone wireless and the reception is really, really CRAP!!!! Optus has told me that since I have cancelled my land line they have a policy not to reconect blah blah blah. 2 hours and nine people later I got one month free on both home and internet. So now it may take me 5 times of reconnecting just to see one page. (I am not exagerating)

One good thing about the crap internet connection is that I haven't been spending hours on the computer like I used to and I am actually getting other things done that I have been procrastinating like my garden and my house.

So for those of you out there who check up on me every now and then I am well and plodding along........I still check blogs when I get a chance and when the internet lets me.

Where does the time go????

The School holidays (which seem like a year ago) were full and exhausting. First week was great lots of shopping and sewing!!! Spotlight had a 20% off everything sale (I HATE THAT PLACE) so armed with lots of material I had a great week of sewing, visiting parks, markets, skateboard parks etc. and the boys had a great week with no school. Tristan had a little stomach bug but it only put him out of action for one day which allowed more time for sewing. I made more than these two out fits but they are in the dirty cloths.

Second week started off with the best intentions along with a friends and lots of kids we caught the train for fun got off at a park played for an hour then caught the train home. Fun. This is where the drama starts I wont go into to much detail but it was a big week for all. My brother-in-law collapsed with exhaustion and depression so we got to look after his two boys for a few nights which was fun but then Seth got really sick he ended up having gastro for 6 days the poor thing was soooooo sick he couldn't move and the two ring-ins had horrible coughs and head colds and hubby got a touch of the gastro and a headache, male syndrome. LOL. (Tristan was healthy, thank goodness) Big Week and very worrying but all is good now after lots of doctor visits for everyone involved!!

I have so much admiration for women with more than a couple of kids cause four boys aged between 2 and 6 was alot of work but I managed to get so much done cause I never had a chance to stop.

So glad school is back I finally got a day to my self this week and I was so lost I felt guilty sitting down but had to force my self to. (cough....cough...) Seriously I am so ready to go back to work at least you get a break while you are there.

So you think you can dance?

Really bad photos taken on my mobile. The first is Kate and Graeme This Kate with three of the hottest guys Anthony, Graeme and Henry!! This was my fav dance.

I know I can't dance like that anymore but I sure would have liked getting up on stage and having a go with this guy, HENRY. The concert was pretty good but I would have liked a little bit more build up it was more like going to a play than a concert. It started at 7 and went until 9 nothing before and nothing after.

So looking forward to the American SYTYCD starting soon.

School holidays are moving along slowly even more with this rain that will not go away. I took the boys on a train ride today from Nambour to Mooloolah we played in the park for a hour and then got the train home again. The boys loved it but they just couldn't sit still on the train it is all too exciting for them.

Tristan's Athletics Day

Fun had by all! Was a great day after Seth finished his hissy fit upon finding out that it wasn't a "carnival" {he thought is was a school fete}. Tristan did great and he now wants to do Little Athletics we will see if that is still the case in September when the season starts.

More Darwin

This is where we stayed it was really nice to have a garden in the lobby and the river out the window. The boys love the bay-window. One of our day trips was to Berry Springs took us about an hour to get there from Darwin. The water in the pools is so clear you can see the bottom. (Very Deep). Plus we got some mandatory "Ant Mound" photos on the way.

Another Vietnam Fundraiser

I dont know if you remember but last Christmas The Reedy Family pooled our secret Santa money and bought a house for a Vietnam family.

Last month Hubby and I, along with a couple of friends, went on a river cruise to raise money for the agent orange survivors who are still to this day being born with birth defects and then being dumped in the orphanages.

The cruise went up Noosa River and was a fabulous night and raised nearly $1500 so here are a few pictures the scenic one is looking into Lake Cooroibah there were a few rain clouds around and we got a couple of very heavy showers which just made the views even more spectacular I cant wait for the next boat cruise.

I tried to get Tristan's photo taken but I couldn't get him out of the Silver balloon room for long enough.

The boys loved the River Cat (so did I) so good to see the city from a different angle.
Last month my Dad and I took the boys to Brisbane to see the Andy Warhol exhibit and to the Museum and on the River Cat. We had a great day but it all went to fast and we totally run out of time. We also wanted to go to the science center but by the time we got off the river cat it was closing time. Just a good excuse to go again (what a shame)

WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!! My sister-in-law passed away this morning suddenly we won't know why until the autopsy. She was only 29 and leaves behind her husband Jason and two boys Lachlan 5 and Ashton 1. We will miss you so much!

Wow it is Easter already I cant believe how quick this year is passing.

My parents have just gotten back from a 10 day cruise from New Zealand - Tasmania - Melbourne to Sydney. They had a fantastic time but said it was a bit colder than what they expected or prepared for.

Here are some photos from about a month ago. We went to Kondalila Fall, Montville. Absolutely beautiful and of course I am bias cause any water fall is beautiful to me I just love the energy you get from them and the feeling of tranquility.

Belated Birthday Seth turned 4 in February and is absolutly loving Kindergarten!! He has a couple of new friends and is always asking if today is Kindy day. (Everyday) Michaels Toy of the Month is Guitar Hero for Playstation 2 He wanted to buy it for the boys for Christmas but they sold out and he has just got around to buying it and it has been a great success.

March is here in full swing and going fast. Lots of Fundraising at the school this month Disco and Easter Raffle and a Sausage sizzle for Voting day which was an awesome fundraising event especially if you can get everything donated funny how hungry everyone is when they go to Vote.

Plus I did the door knock for the RED CROSS on the weekend and raised $70 for them (every little bit helps) everyone one I asked donated it was amazing. Such a good cause I have never needed and hopefully never will but I know how important it is.

I hope everyone else's March is going Great and not tooo fast.

My baby is SIX !!

I cant believe it Tristan is six and funnily enough, along with starting grade one, something has clicked in his head and he is acting so much more calmer. He has already recieved a student of the week award for concentration and as his teacher calls it USING HIS THINKING BRAIN "so cute."

Grade 1

Second day of grade 1 and no complaints......... except for, he hasn't been chosen for "heads down, thumbs up" yet.
It is so weird to see desks in their rooms after a whole year of play fun in prep.

School holiday fun, what a great imagination he has I was so proud of his collection, not that he could have fitted much more on, all he needs are some new boots and his outfit will be complete. LOL. School Holidays

The boys dancing in the rain New Years Eve with all of thier glow sticks on. Of course it looked so much better in the dark.

I cant believe we only have one week left before school starts again. The last 5 weeks have gone so fast. We have had pretty casual holidays nothing to exciting, a couple of birthday partys, lots of inside play (and unfortunately messy outside play) with all of the rain we have had in the last couple of weeks.

Michael went to Airlie Beach for a Work / Holiday trip he hopped onto the plane in a rainy Brisbane got off the plane at Airlie to a 35 degree beautifully sunny day and same on return, his plane actually got delayed because of storms in Brisbane.

We were actually at a birthday party when the storm went over and lightning hit a tree in the park we were at, very scary, poor Seth cried for about 10 mins.

While Michael was in Airlie I got my Dad to come over and help me rebuild my front fence will have some more photos of the finished product but am just waiting for my Brother in Law to make the gate for me. Funny thing was the Saturday was the first dry day in ages and I got so totally burnt that I am peeling (still). I very,very rarely peel. I was a little bit sore. LOL. My Dad is such a champ THANKYOU SO MUCH (doing most of the work) for helping me.

So looking forward to seeing it fully finished.

Our Christmas Present

This year instead of doing a secret Santa amongst my husbands side of the family, where we would normally spend $100 per family x 4 = $400. I suggested we buy a Vietnam family a home for only $600 so if we all pitched in an extra $50 we could buy a family something more special !!! than what we would be racking our brains out to buy each other.
The lovely woman who organises all of this and soooooo much more does all of it off her own back she raises all of the money through out the year and then goes over to Vietnam (ticket paid out of her own pocket) and together with the Red Cross she PERSONALLY distributes all of her donations. Either with house or schooling or what ever she sees is most need eg. last year she bought a cripple man a wheel chair and she bought an orphanage 10 new cots. She is just so passionate and dedicated to helping and this is her way. So I am honoured to be helping.
This is just one example of what can be achieved.

This is what they lived in before.
And this is what $600 Australian dollars can build.

That is Liila in the middle on the ladder. Along with getting the house she also makes sure they get a gift bag of things for their house. How beautiful!

I FLOODED MY HOUSE

Can you believe it. I turned the bath on for the boys and then forgot about it cause they were outside playing with Michael and the neighbours ARGGGGG!!!! Talk about saving water it must have been going for about half an hour I cant believe I completely forgot all about it. My carpet is saturated it went through the walls into Tristan's room, the toilet, the laundry and my linen cupboard thank goodness the only thing that got damaged was the carpet and some wrapping paper. The carpet doesn't matter cause we are going to tile anyway, just looks like we might just be doing it a little sooner than we wanted and the wrapping paper was recycled stuff shoved into the bottom of the linen cupboard next to the spare tins of house paint. Lucky I have a wet/dry vacuum cleaner ($99 Kmart special from 10 years ago still going strong, thank goodness) but I spent a half an hour just vacuuming 1 sq meter and got about 10 litres of water out.
So there is a tip for you DON'T LEAVE THE BATH WATER RUNNING!

After trying so hard not to get involved in Facebook my sister finally talked me into it. Now I am hooked. I can't believe how many friends from the past I have found. Love that it is just like blogging.

One more day of school left and I cant wait I am so over the morning ritual of having time limits and then finally getting there only to get all caught up in fundraising, tuckshop, P&C or something else and not getting home until lunch time. Wow what a week

I can't believe how much stuff I cramed into one week this calender doesn't give "my week" justice there was so much more. But at the end of the week I feel fantastic!! Ready for another one. (soon) I know it is nothing compared to some people but for me it was heaps mainly little things........ like the oven at school blowing up on cooking day ...........taking 40mins to get to an appointment 10mins away because of road works traffic.......... then getting to that appointment and having it cancelled because she forgot?!! and so on.

My inlaws got back from a 4 week holiday in NAPAL yesterday so we got to catch up with everyone for the afternoon. So good to see the completed family of Parents, Kids and grandkids now with the final (hopefully) instalment, Maddison.

She is so tiny. Times flies so quickly, hard to believe how fast kids grow. Every time I go and visit someone in the maternity ward it feels like only yesterday I was in there (especially when you see the same nurses) .

So glad this week is OVER

What a week it has been. We had our school FETE on Saturday night. So I have had a busy week helping get ready for the big day. Lots of time spent at the school. Not only was there the fete but we also had WORLD TEACHERS DAY which the P&C had to make all of the food for (which I don't think even got eaten, I know the {$40} cake didn't get touched)

But all is done and the FETE was a great success!!! I don't know if there were any marriage break ups or nervous break downs come Sunday but I am pretty sure there wont be a Fete next year, unfortunately. So much work went into it and the handful of people that helped were fantastic but we really need heaps more help on the night.

First ride of the day. The teacups, the guy is just about to spin them hence the laughing and pointing finger.

Seth loved this one but his thongs fell off half way through and he was worried about them.I can't believe Tristan went on this ride I didn't think he would be tall enough but they didn't stop him.
It just isn't fun when you have to line up.

Hopefully this week wont be as busy. We do have a couple of things on but nothing that I have to help organise. Thank goodness.

Holidays

We had a fabulous time on our Holiday just me and the boys, Michael ended up having to stay home to go to his Pops funeral, I think it did him good to stay at home and look after himself and to have some quiet time, made him appreciate us more when we got home.

Our first two nights were at the Mt Tambourine Motel which is next door to the St Bernard Pub. Very basic accommodation but nice and clean. Funny how small a room can feel when you are trying to entertain two excited children. We just relaxed and enjoyed our days without any time limits or agendas. Beautiful views and it was mating season for the Peacocks so we got to watch them prance around in all of their splendor Just beautiful.

Our first night we didn't get there until late after traffic jams on the way down so we just watched TV and went to bed early. The next day we went for a bush walk and checked out the town and the half a dozen shops LOL. Lots and lots of driving and the whole area is very similar to Maleny and Montville but a whole lot more dryer and thank goodness a lot less developed (although I'm sure it wont take long). The good thing about driving so much was even though I was enjoying looking at all of the beautiful views the boys weren't as interested and so they got lots of sleep in the car and funnily enough they slept well in the motel as well so they had a very rejuvenating holiday.

The third night we visited my friend in Labrador and went shopping at Harbour town. Got a couple of bargains but the kids were so excited to be back in civilization that they didn't know what to do with themselves TOO MUCH ENERGY from all of the sleeping. We also had a lovely dinner at Cav's Steakhouse. I had been there before but not for a really long time and the best part was they have a kids play room so they didn't have to sit still for too long.

On the way home I got to stop in at "IKEA" that shop is amazing everything is so cheap and beautiful. Way too much to take in on a quick visit. I will definitely be studying the catalogue and going back very soon, now that I have seen it and everything is still fresh in my head.

I was really sad that I couldn't stay longer cause I really love the Gold Coast but I suppose the Sunny Coast is better in some ways (like traffic).

Going away for a couple of days SSSSOOOOOO looking forward to it. I had the worst night sleep last night cause all I could think of was all of the stuff I hadn't yet done. We are staying here.

I had my cousins son sleep over for the first time last night he is the same age as Seth so the two of them have been having an absolute ball, poor Tristan is the third wheel and keeps causing fights but when I can distract him the two younger ones play beautiful together.

School Holidays

With the much anticipated school holidays here I have to admit I am ready for school to go back. We have already had several play dates and a Train ride day (Nambour to Morayfield and back again) Which was an adventure all on it's own. Today we went to the movies to see the Rat one and now I am home totally exhausted and in need of a holiday to get over this (unfinished) week. LOL. Seriously it has been fun so far but I think we need to slow down a bit and with a the weekend ahead of us I am thinking of spending a couple of days at home to mellow out before I am hit with another FULL ON week next week.

So next week we are going to the Gold Coast for a couple of days just me and the boys Michael has opted to go to work (He is all Gold Coasted out) So me and the boys are doing a whatever goes holiday no plans I am really excited about visiting my friend and seeing her new baby girl. Cant wait.

And amongst all of that I have actually been able (and have actually wanted to) get some scrap pages done. YAAAHHH I am very excited because I haven't had the desire to scrap which has been a bit of a shock to me (as all of you scrap girls will understand) So here are the pages I have done this week.

This is me and my date at my year 10 Debuton Ball.

This one is this months 123 challenge page which I thought I had better enter since I was lucky enough to choose one of the criteria for this month, ripped paper and the other two are no flowers at all and transparencies. This is actually a take two of this page I had originally used the small dot craft paper for the background but Darling Seth thought because I accidentally left it on his desk that it was his to cut up. That will teach me!!

I just checked the BOM website to see if the storm that they predicted was going to eventuate and this is the picture at about 10.30pm how cool does it look rain clouds everywhere on the outside of the circle. I have been doing some seriously quick pages lately. Just almost chucking them together for the sake of getting them done. For the first time in ages I have actually been wanting to scrap and have been trying to every chance I get. So hence the quick layouts got to get them done while the want is there.

Hopefully soon ( in the next couple of weeks ) everything at school with the tuckshop re-opening, not as many meetings or as much paper work for me, and all of the fundraising stuff coming to an end for the year & school holidays. I might get a chance to scrap more, if the boys let me that is, maybe I can come up with some good bribes.

Drying out

Well we are finally starting to dry out after all of the rain. Our dams are full now so we really don't need anymore anytime tooooo soon. Here is an example of just how much rain we had........ This photo was taken same time last year.
The boys all had a fantastic time in the rain though, Michael bought the boys skim boards so they could skim in all of the puddles (there were heaps everywhere). So I had a fantastic weekend too cause I couldn't do any washing and I had an empty house most of the week.

A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister and my mother-in-law. Big party day on Sunday - lunch at the in-laws and dinner at my sisters lots of good food and great company.

123 Challenge Prize

Tristan recieved his 123 Challenge prize yesterday and is over the moon!! He is so proud that today he had to take his layout and his prize to school for show and tell. (even thought they don't do show and tell at the moment)

Poor Seth, tears and all, was most upset that he didn't get a special prize in the mail but Tristan was so good about it all he insisted Seth be in the photo. By the way the car Seth is holding was only given to him the day before. (how quick they forget)

Not much else to report but RAIN and more RAIN! Our backyard is flooded and it hasn't stopped rain since it went dark so I can only imagine what it looks like now. I hope there isn't anything on the shed floor that is not water proof!!!!

Humpty Dumpty

What is the one song you do not want to hear at 2am in the morning coming from you 3 yr old who has only been sleeping in the top bunk for 1 week? Humpty Dumpty!!! That's right I woke up with the biggest fright, jumped up, ran into his room and the little toad was still asleep. Singing in his sleep. So I stayed in his room for a little while just to make sure but he didn't wake up until 7am.

123 Challenge. This is Tristan's entry for last month. He received a special mention cause he is the first ever child to enter and the girls were so impressed with his efforts. Seriously he did this all him self the only thing I did was write Aunty Donna. It was so good to have him sit down and scrapbook with me and when he was finished he said "I am going to win the competition." So cute he was so proud.

Bunk Bed and Seth

This is the prize pack I won at the Scrapbook City retreat. LOTS of goodies for me. The Around the block prize was donated by Scrapbooking Down Under. They were so generous with heaps of prizes and special treats for us at the retreat.
This is Seth asleep in the top bunk. So far he has done two nights and one lunch sleep there. I was really nervous the first time he wanted to but there is rails the whole way around and he is so keen to be in the "big boy bed" that I couldn't say no. So beautiful everyone says it but they really do grow up so fast.

By the way Scrapbook City has already booked their next retreat for 25, 26 & 27 April 2008 so if anyone is interested just contact the store and make a deposit. I have a feeling this one will be a huge hit.

Retreat was GREAT!!

A BIG HELLO to everyone I meet at the Scrapbook City Retreat on the weekend. I am so sleep deprived and unfortunately have come home to 3 very sick Males. Bummer! Maybe next week I will catch up on some sleep.

The Retreat was so much fun I ate waaaaaaayyyyyyyy to much cause the food was delicious but I am a bit of a garbage disposal I love just about all food. I can't believe I even skipped two deserts and an afternoon tea. I was just too full. The "P" party we had on Saturday night was hilarious just about everyone of the 60 women got dressed up in some type of "P". The photo is of the regulars from the forum. It is so good to finally meet you all!! I loved all of the classes especially Carol Janson's even though I forgot all of my photos can you believe it they were on my scrap desk at home all weekend. So for one of my challenge pack layouts I borrowed a photo off Liz (thanks Liz) just so my page looked finished. Thanks to Janette, Janet and Liz for being such great table buddies hope to see you all at the next one.

All of the class packs were amazing and very generous THANKYOU so much Liesa and Kerry for a great weekend and to top it off I won an awesome AROUND THE BLOCK BAG full of goodies. I couldn't believe it, it was the last draw for the weekend. YAHHH. I will add some more photos over the next week but I have to go and get some sleep before one of the boys wake up again.

Reading Lessons

Funny how you take things for granted and you forget just how hard new things are to learn. Tristan is starting "Learn to read" books at Prep and the parents have been asked to attend group meetings to learn "how to teach" them to read. I am so happy with Tristan's teacher, she is very much into getting the parents involved with everything. This is going to be new for me too cause I am more of a numbers girl and have never really gotten into reading and writing. (Hence my really bad spelling and grammar) Growing up I would go through stages and still now, if I start a really good book I find it hard to put down but if it takes too long to get into it I lose interest very quickly. (So much easier just to hire the movie!!!)

Silly me volunteered to sew some mystery bags for the the class the other day (instead of show and tell the children take the bag home, put something special in it, then they pass it around and the other children have to guess what is in the bag by asking lots of questions) Now I am sewing 30 hessian name tags together. But I have to admit it was a great excuse to get my sewing machines out of the cupboard and put them into the Horn sewing cabinet I got last week second hand for $50 it even has the lifter shelf. I have taken photos but my batteries just went flat so I will post photos next time.

Week 2 Photo

Instead of the photo a day challenge I am doing a photo a week challenge for myself. So here is a photo of me at 11pm sitting in front of the computer and just realizing I was due to update my blog.

Once again I forgot my camera. Tristan had a teddy bear picnic on this morning and all of the kids had a ball. Tristan ate so much sugar today he was beaming all afternoon. I am so lucky the teacher's aide is doing a photo disk for each of the kids this year cause otherwise I would have missed out on some fantastic photos.

Thanks to Gigi for tagging me AGAIN.... lol that's ok I don't know if I have 8 random & interesting??? facts about me today. Lets see if my brain is switched on.

1. I wear ugg boots permanently during winter & thongs all summer, when I studied at TAFE (2005) I had to buy a pair of shoes that covered my toes for work place health and safety cause I didn't own any other than my high heel boots.

2. I have changed all of the washers in all of the taps in my house, and replaced the toilet cistern, and pulled out and put in a new laundry basin. Domestic / Renovator goddess!!

3. I have a black cat named SWEET

4. I met my husband and started dating when I was only 16. We got married when I was 20 and had our first baby when I was 24.

5. I am the vice-president of the Pacific Paradise State School P&C. (and have no idea what I am doing)

6. My favourite colour is purple.

7. I wear a size 10 shoe.

8. I love to drive.

Back to school

Tristan's first day back at school after the holidays and I got called up to pick him up early because he tripped over a chair while trying to jump it and landed on his head on the concrete. This photo doesn't do the massive lump any justice, it is very impressive!!! Poor baby he was so good about it and hasn't complained all afternoon. I think I will sleep with him tonight to make sure he is OK.
The rest of the photos are from our trip to the Remote-control plane show we went to on the week end. I am still amazed at how much control these guys have over the planes and how much money they spend (us scrappers have nothing to worry about compared to these guys) one of the planes cost $40 000!!!! Can you believe it?
My hair is starting to settle down, I am still not happy but another couple of weeks and it would have grown enough to go and get it done properly.
Only 17 more sleeps until my retreat. Very exciting!! :)

Bad Haircuts and no car

Sorry I didn't realize that it had been so long since I had blogged, I have been reading everyone else's blogs and commenting but didn't even think of visiting my own. Thanks for the nudge Bec!!

Well for the last two weeks I have been CAR-less. I was supposed to get it back Tuesday / Wednesday but I didn't get it back until 4pm Thursday. Although it has been good, having an excuse to stay at home for once, but very difficult being school holidays. One good thing is that if you cant go anywhere it limits your spending, something I should be working on anyway. We still managed a couple of ventures out, and a bus ride that Tristan thought was just dandy.

Plus Wednesday we had an interesting visit from Gigi and her two boys Mackinley and Rainer, lets just say I think Gigi and I needed a bottle of wine each at the end of that day!! How can two boys get along so beautifully and then instantly NOT??? (Tristan and Mackinley) Age old question ARE BOYS REALLY FROM MARS???

As for the Haircut........ OMG!!! I am so disappointed I LOVED my last haircut and agonised over staying short or growing it out and finally I decided on getting it cut again. Now this is the stupid part!! instead of going back to the hairdresser (1/2 hour drive away) who did the beautiful cut I went to the local hairdresser who only does cuts and you don't need an appointment. Easy hey. Well I took in photos and everything but ended up with a cut that looks nothing like my last one. The one thing I kept stressing to her is I don't want it to look like someone stuck a bowl on my head and cut around it!! But alas it does. Luckily my hair grows fast. One good thing is that I have finally gotten rid of all of the Red from when I dyed it last year. Horrible photo this was taken just after I walked out of the salon. NOT HAPPY JAN!! I'm sure in a couple of months I will look back on this and laugh.

So there you go Bec this is my DAY 1 photo (Yuk) but I think instead of doing a photo a day I might do a photo a week at least until my hair grows enough to go and get it styled properly.

School Holidays

Well it is Saturday night and Michael and the boys have just got home from watching the Transformers Movie at the cinema and they are all very excited so I have retreated to the computer because I can not get a normal word out of them.

Can you believe it is school holidays and I have NO CAR. I put it in on Monday for an insurance approval (just some old body work) and they rang me and said do you mind if we start it now I OK'ed it thinking it would be a couple of days but I am not getting it back until next wednesday!!! Lucky everyone has been willing to come and visit us or come and pick us up.

Tomorrow, middle of the school holidays and a Sunday at that and I have a P&C meeting. Then on Monday I have a Fundraising meeting I thought on school holidays I wouldn't have to worry about any of this stuff, like I have a life anyway?!? LOL

Today I went to a "Scrapbook wholesalers closing down sale" (they have been closing down for about 6 months now) I got heaps of albums!! 8x8 $4 and 12x12 $7 and $10 nice albums too not just plain vinal ones. So now I have no excuse but to put all of my finished pages into their albums. PMSL like that will ever happen.

My week in review

Monday :- School drop off for Tristan then daycare for Sethy, in tears not wanting to go. By the time I got home did some housework it was time to go the fundraising meeting which really wasn't a hassle cause we had lunch and then the meeting.

Tuesday :- Michael made so much noise getting ready for work and packing the truck for the week away (I don't know why he cant do it the day before) that I couldn't get back to sleep so I don't know how I managed to be late for school again. Big day of Housework!! lots done, feels really good to have a big clean day. Then Tristan's last day of Aus Kick AFL training after 7weeks I finally remembered to take my camera. That's him in the #10 jersey. Home for dinner then dropped the boys off at Nan and Pop's so I could go to the P&C meeting at the school. Full on meeting looks like we have to close the Tuckshop cause it is losing money big time??????

Wednesday :- We all slept in it was fabulous!! Really crappy day though cold and overcast. Tristan lost the plot and cried his little eyes out in protest of going to school cause all of the kids are mean to him. So I didn't have the heart to argue with him and let him stay at home. Tristan and Seth had an absolutely beautiful day playing together. I wish they played that well all of the time.

My beautiful friend Emica came over and we had a lovely catch up. So good to see her. Funny how you live 10mins away but you get to busy to see each other with different timetables. I will have to make sure that there isn't such a big gap next time.

Thursday :- Bribed Tristan to go to school today without tears with the promise of Tuckshop (had better get the use out of it before it is gone). Seth and I had a lazy day then we had to do our special "Picture Plates Fundraiser" at Tristan's school, they should turn out great!! Tristan had a huge blue with one of his mates I can see why he was so upset on Wednesday now.

Friday :- End of semester party for the Prep's today the had a huge blow up bouncy twister mat game for the kids to play on, lots of food and heaps of other things to do. Set had a great time playing in the sand pit for most of the morning but again Tristan had lots of arguments with his "Friends".......... I don't know what to do??!! So I took him home with me at 10.30am when the morning tea was finished cause I didn't want to think what fights he would get into with out me there to break them up. I was meeting my cousin and her 2 boys for a bike ride so I thought he would like that would be fun for us all to do and I know Tristan loves riding his bike. So after our bike ride/walk, just to top my week off my darling boys locked my keys in the car. I was very lucky my cousin hadn't left yet and she waited with me until RACQ got there to unlock my car.

Paper craft was fun.

After a big weekend and a busy week and a late night, I some how managed to wake at 6am this morning wide awake enough that I had to get up. I tried to go back to sleep but I could hear the garbage trucks driving around and I just couldn't switch my darn brain off.

The Paper Craft Show was excellent I had a lovely day with Gigi, Such a beautiful person inside and out!! I got to meet the beautiful NGAIRE BARTLAM and I did her class which was very relaxed and heaps of fun. Thanks to Gigi for the photo can you believe I forgot my camera??

I also got to meet a few of the ladies that I chat to online thought the Scrapbook City Website. A big hello to Loulou and Gayle and it was lovely to meet my fellow "Twin Peaks addict" Angela, looking forward to catching up at the Scrap Retreat next month.

So after a lovely relaxing day I came home to an absolute pig sty my kitchen looked like someone (SETH) had just stood at one corner and thrown Milo all over the floor and there was just stuff everywhere it took me until 10pm to clean up. Not happy!

Tristan had his first ever School Sports day on Thursday. They all did so good and it was heaps of fun for them all. I again forgot my camera (I don't know where my memory is lately) so I have to get some photos off the other mums and I will post them later.

Today we are off to the NAMBOUR SHOW so excited for the kids they are going to love it.

Brisbane Paper Craft Fair

I cant wait until tomorrow..........The Paper Craft show in Brisbane where I am doing a class with the wonderful NGAIRE BARTLAM so looking forward to it. Plus I will get to catch up with this beautiful lady, Gigi. And hopefully get to meet some of the ladies from the Scrapbook City Shop that I have been talking to online for ages now but never meet face to face. Very Exciting!!!!

This is a layout Gigi did, of her son Mackinley and my son Tristan when we meet for the first time. The boys got along immediately and they had a great time keeping me and Gigi on our toes for the day.

Well I had better make sure I have got everything packed for the class.

PINK!!!

This concert was fantastic. Two days later my ears are still ringing but that's just because I had such a great spot. Mosh pit about 4 meters away from her. Pink is so much prettier in real life and a body to die for PLUS she sounds even better live than she does on her CD's. I want to go again!!

Two concerts in one week LOL I took Seth to a "Play School" concert last week it was funny to watch grown adults jumping around, getting dressed up and singing on stage. So much different to watching it on T.V. but then so similar with the songs and other thing from the show being the same. I have photos but my computer doesn't want to co-operate with me today.

Crusty's

My Boys all went to see the Crusty Demons of Dirt on Saturday night and all had a great time. Lots of exciting stories the next day but I think my hubby enjoyed it the most!! LOL.

Then of course they had to take the bikes for a spin on Sunday just to pretend they are as good as the Crusty riders. Especially with the new addition to our motorbike family (Mummy not happy with Daddy's purchase) a quad bike. Of course in usual fashion my two boys had the devil in them and would not pose for a nice photo with their new friends. If it is not one it is the other.

The beautiful Mount Pomona on the Sunshine Coast this is where the property is that the boys go riding on. I really love this place it is so pretty.
Lots more news to come in my next post just have to get some photos.......... Babies and engagements.

Busy, busy, busy..........

I can't believe it has been two weeks since I last blogged. Have done heaps lately so I might do a quick review.

Mothers day stall at the school. I had fun making some cute little magnet backed note pads. I made about 20. and my darling Sister also made a whole heap.

I finally got around to using one of my birthday vouchers. A pedicure!!! It was fabulous. I got to sit in a massage chair and have my feet pampered. I love the little flowers she did on my nails.
My little Preppy got his first certificate at the school parade. It was so beautiful to see the look on his face cause he didn't know he was getting it. Photo is really bad cause I couldn't get close to the stage because of the kids. But I did get it on my new video camera. LOL.
Also I replaced my laundry sink unit ALL BY MYSELF. It was so much fun ripping the old one out!! but a little bit harder to get the new one in but I managed and I didn't need any males to help!!!
While I was on such a girl power kick I also chopped down a tree ALL BY MYSELF with a hatchet and a pair of clippers, {it took me two days of stop and starting} then loaded it all onto hubby's ute and took it all to the dump. Sethy helped out a little bit with the cutting up and the emptying at the dump.
Today I had a lovely lunch with my Mummy and Sister, a belated Mothers Day. Great food and Great company.

It is amazing how much stuff you can get done when you set your mind to it. This weeks challenge is to put a new cistern on the toilet. I have already bought it now I just have to find the time and energy.

Indoor Cricket

Michael had his Indoor cricket grand final on last night and it was the first (and last) game that I have taken the boys to. They didn't enjoy it at all and by 9.30pm they and I were very tired and so ready to go home. Michael lost by the way. They only lost by 35 runs which for the team they played wasn't too bad and considering thier best player didn't turn up. ??How can you forget a grand final after playing all season??

My mummy bought me a video camera yah!!! I have already got about a half hour ticked up on tape. I taped some of Michael's cricket and when we got home I asked if he wanted to watch and he didn't find that very funny considering they lost and he thinks that he played like shit and didn't want to be reminded. Maybe in a couple of weeks he will stop feeling sorry for himself and watch it.

I have been busy trying to do some craft stuff for the Mother's Day Fundraising stall at the school. I spent all day Sunday and got 6 plaques done went to check them on Monday and Seth had broken 3 of them. I managed to salvage 2 of them but one was too far gone. I wasn't a happy mummy!!! At this rate I wont be helping them make much money.

Another week gone

Took Tristan to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Monday for his last "mummy day" in a while. We had heaps of fun, movie then McDonald's for lunch and a little bit of shopping. I love spending time with Tristan now he is getting a little bit older.

First week back at school after Tristan's first ever school holidays took me a while to get back into the swing of things like school lunches and getting to school on time. Tuesday morning I had another P&C meeting, I am learning heaps about the school and everything that is involved.

Today we went to watch our friends daughter get christened. Miss "Shiolah Jade" so beautiful. Then back to their place for a couple of drinks it was a lovely day.

Tristan all dressed up so handsome. (By the way Grandma, Tristan loves his outfit he raved on about is all day. He loves that there is a singlet under the good shirt and even though he was sweating he refused to take off the good shirt.)
Couldn't have put it better myself. We were making stuff this afternoon with bottles and junk and grey tape. Well Seth thought that this was the best place for his. And considering it has just taken my over half and hour to get him to bed I think I might see if we have enough to tape him down as well. LOL.
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE those eyes.

Fairy Dust

Tristan and Seth were playing outside this morning and Seth came running inside so excited that there was a storm coming and it was raining.
SETH: Come and look!!!! Mum, come and look. (So out I go to see the storm and the very, very, very light shower that is passing over.)
ME: Wow Seth how exciting it is raining.
TRISTAN: It isn't raining it's FAIRY DUST.
My heart melted!!! Tristan is such a boy with his bike and motorbike and scooters etc. he sometimes comes out with the most beautiful things.

This is my week 8 entry for the others team in the Scrapbook City Reality Scrap Comp, it was a bit late but better late than never.
This is my first ever entry in the HOW DARE YOU challenge I really loved doing this page cause I have wanted to scrap these photos for ages and now I finally have!

Blah blah blah

So funny my Tristan was telling my mum something the other day about me. After he had told her half of the story he said ........and blah blah blah. (This is what my hubby does to me all of the time when he thinks that I am harping on and wingeing to him.) It was so funny, me and Mum couldn't stop laughing.

Mum and Dad got back from thier trip safely amongst all of the Sunarmi warnings and cyclone warning and rough seas. They had an absolute ball, with heaps of stories and videos and photos it is going to take me a month to see them all. (Mum bought every little bit of memoribilia home with her so we can scrapbook it all yeah!... like I need an excuse)

My darling Seth has smashed his poor little teeth AGAIN..... but can you believe he managed to get the other two front teeth this time. He is so clumsy. And to top it off he is now sick with temperatures so at least he will be getting some relief from his teeth with all of the panadole I have to give him to keep his temperature down.

Fundraising crazy here at the moment. You don't realize how short a school term is until you have to squeeze as many fundraisers into it as you can without going over the top. In the last couple of weeks we have done the school disco and an Easter raffle and a BBQ at the park. All up we have done really well. Now only 3 more terms to go.

Well I am off to scrapbook for the first time this week.

Long week

This is my first ever entry in the 123 Challenge. The March challenge criteria was 1. Stitching 2.Black and White 3. Three or more photos. So I did this page with photos of my beautiful nephew, Joshua, with Grandma and Grandpa. This is my week 8 instalment of the reality scraps comp now that I am an other I actually get credit for my layouts now and don't just look like a hanger on.....er.

The photo was taken a my friends, Paul and Hailey's fancy dress party a couple of years ago.

Pacific Paradise had it's first school disco for the year last Friday night. They had a prep to year 3 dance starting at 5pm till 6.30pm and then the rest of the school was 6.30 till 8.30pm. Tristan and Seth lasted about an hour before they both came to me in unison crying their eyes out for various reasons, luckily Michael was there helping so I just got him to take them home so I could stay and help out with the rest of the dance. It was a great success for the school fundraising and the kids all had a great night. (Except mine of course LOL)

Nothing much else has been happening. I have managed to catch some damn virus and it has really knocked me about I have had fevers, sore muscles and joints, major headaches, fluid retention and a rash all over my body I have been a walking zombie for the last week living on Nurofen plus and anti-histamines. The doctors have done heaps of blood tests so hopefully I will know something soon.

Busy Weekend

I dropped my parents off, Saturday morning for their P&O Pacific Star holiday around the Tropical Islands. They were so excited, it was so cute, this is their first holiday where they have needed passports.
After dropping them off we went for a drive over to Scrapbook City to check out their "Garage Sale" Picked up a few goodies. We also went for a drive up Mt Cootha the boys kept running away for me so we didn't stay long they had been in the car for too long so we headed to my cousins for a Tupperware / BBQ. It was lovely the kids were free to run around the back yard with the Dads and us Mums sat inside enjoying a Cocktail while we watched the Tupperware demonstration. So after setting off at 8.30am we finally arrived home at about 9.30pm.
Monday morning I had the Carpet cleaner and pest control rock up at 7.30am WAY...WAY....too early. Michael was home cause the weather was too crappy for him to work so he dropped both of the boys off at school it was fantastic!! now he cant ever say he doesn't know where to go. After the cleaning guys finally left I had to go to a fundraising meeting for the school. Then I went up to a cute little salon at the back of Nambour called "Studio 4560" Where my good friend Hayley Braggs, Super Hairdresser !!! was training an apprentice and I daringly allowed her to do what ever she wanted. This is the end result. I LOVE IT!! Hayley actually straightened it with a little flick on the end which looked really cute but I ran out of time this morning and luckily it just sat right with a clip in the side and a little hair product to defrizz. Michael HATES it he likes my hair long but I am really happy and think I will keep it like this for a while.

The Secret is out

I am no longer an intruder (OHHHHH AHHHHH) in the Scrapbook City Reality Scraps Competition. I am now an OTHER. Which means I can openly compete and earn points towards my loyalty membership. Who knows what other tricks Sara and Alicia have up their sleeves for the rest of the competition.

Sethy freaked us out today "he has a double jointed thumb", he was laughing as he was walking towards us with his thumb touching his wrist. I thought he had broken it and the pain hadn't kick in yet but he showed us over and over again. It looks so cool I will definitely have to get a photo of in case he grows out of it.

I went to the movies today to see the Illusionist. It was a really nice movie, a little bit slow but an interesting movie with very good actors.

My sister just sent me the link for this cool site. You can contact people you went to school with and you will be surprised at how many people are actually registered. NAMES DATABASE so go and have a look for your self, it doesn't cost anything to have your details there and if you want to contact someone it only costs $12US to join for a year. I have already contacted someone and exchanged two emails and I only joined last night. GREAT IDEA!!!!

The Paper Craft Festival is on in Brisbane this weekend and I so desperately want to go but I dont know if I am going to be able to. But I will definately try.

Baby Teeth

I thought I had a really good idea yesterday. I took down the baby swing that came with our Hills swing set, Seth is getting too big for it now, and put on the bar with the rings on the bottom cause he loves swinging off the rack that is on the back of Daddy's Rodeo (which he is not allowed to do cause it is too dangerous. LOL)........ WELL swing OFF he did..... straight into the ground, he smashed his mouth and pushed in two teeth. There was blood everywhere!! Michael was freaking out, he always stresses so much when one of the boys hurt themselves. Seth always seems to hurt his mouth. But once it stopped bleeding and the panadol had kicked in he was like nothing had happened and couldn't wait to get back out and play again. So funny how quick they bounce back. We visited the dentist this morning and he said they seem to be ok and should stabilise after a couple of days but might still go black. That will be a good look.

Some funny news......... I went into my little scrap shop at Palmwoods yesterday cause they had a big sale on. After looking at all of the stuff on the sale table I jokingly said to the other girls there that my hubby will be getting a bad feeling right about now cause of all of the money I was about to spend......... While I was standing at the counter waiting to pay Michael rang to see if everything was OK cause he had a really bad feeling. PMSL It was so hard not to laugh while I reassured him everything was ok and the boys were at school and daycare and I hadn't heard anything to say otherwise. The girls were totally blown away when I told them and it scared me a bit too.

Mini Album and other scrapping stuff

This is my week three instalment for the Reality Scraps comp at Scrapbook City the criteria was "Back to Basics with Bazzill"
- So we couldn't use any patterend paper or any other embelishments
- we had to make our own embelishment with the basis of the embelishment being Bazzil
- we had to use either (or both) of decorative edge Bazzill or Bling Bazzill
- and 2 other bazzills of our choice and at least one photo.
- Plus we had to do our own hand cut title and have journalling somewhere on the page.

So I made my embelishment by tracing around some Heidi Swapp masks onto the Bling Bazzill and then cutting around them, then added some crystal flowers to make my embelishment and hand cut title
I used green, purple and black bazzill to mat my photos and I journalled around the photos

Tristan's New Shoes

Firstly Tristan can write his name all by himself. This is the first time I have ever seen him do it without any help. I am a proud mum.

Secondly my parents bought Tristan a new pair of school shoes on Tuesday and he insisted on wearing them to bed. After his bath he got his school uniform on for the following day and put his shoes on and went to bed (EARLY!!!!!) I just went and checked on him tonight and he has put them on again for sleeping. How funny, I love it when kids latch on to something unexpected and just wont let go.

SETH'S 3rd BIRTHDAY

My baby turned three on Saturday. He had a lovely day with visits to see Grandma and Grandpa in the morning. Nan and Pop came over in the afternoon for some birthday cake and more presents. Birthday Party

Tristan had his birthday party yesterday at Hungry Jack's and believe it or not I forgot my camera!!!!!!!!! But my friend had her camera there so I took some photos and will just have to get them off her later.

I did my first Friday Night Games with Scrapbook City which was fun. Our {the ones who aren't in the top 20} challenge for the night was to do a 6"x6" page on our day today. I haven't ever done a 6x6 before and found it really hard. Plus I had just bought some new stamps on Friday and was dying to use them so after I had stuffed around with them for about an hour I only had about 10mins to assemble my page, take a photo of it, resize it and upload it. So I kind of threw it together wasn't happy with the end result but I have since turned it into an 8x8 and I think it looks much better.

Third week of prep tomorrow lets hope we make it there without any tears {PLEASE!}

5 Years Old

Tristan had his birthday yesterday I can't believe I have a 5 year old son!!!!!!!!!! I know he is only going to get older, and everyone says it goes so fast but it isn't until you look back that seems to have gone so fast.

So because he got a couple of presents yesterday morning and he was having heaps of fun playing with them I once again had a really hard time trying to get him to prep and actually into the class room. The teachers aide had to come out and get him again and I had to leave him there screaming. This morning I let him take one of his toys for show and tell so he was much happier to stay and let me go.

I didn't make into the top 20 for the Scrapbook City Reality Scraps competition but a huge congrats to the girls who did. Hope you all have a blast and challenge yourselves to do something new each week. Even though I didn't make the top twenty I am still going to play along and do all of the challenges so that I can challenge myself which is one of the reason I entered in the first place.

Birthday Tears

Well I started off my birthday by dragging myself out of bed not feeling very well from a sore throat and a head cold to get up to two grumpy kids and I had forgotten to turn the dishwasher on before I went to bed so there were no clean bowls or Tristan's School lunch containers.

Then Tristan didn't want to get ready for school cause he didn't want to go. After getting him there with a few obstacles along the way we made it just inside the gate and that's where he stopped, with lots of frustration and feeling sick and worry about why he hates prep so much that he could put on such a performance I just lost it. When the teachers aide come out to see what was going on I started crying my eyes out!!!! I didn't want to but I couldn't help it. Even more frustratingly, as soon as I started crying he was really good come over and gave me a big kiss and a cuddle and said goodbye and went into his room without a struggle. LITTLE TOAD!

Mum came over at 2.30pm and walked up to the school with me to pick Tristan up and then My girlfriend, Emica, come over for dinner (with lots of alcohol). So after dinner we jumped into the spa and partied the rest of the night away with Hubby doing the bar tending and photography and childminding. I love the photo of Tristan's butt funny what kids will do to ruin a photo. And I am so proud of Michael's attempt at fancy photography with the Margarita glasses and us behind them, ALL HIS IDEA!!!!!!
So by the end of the night I felt heaps better and surprisingly I felt better this morning than I did yesterday morning.

Michael was home from work today so he walked to school with us all this morning which was really nice. Tristan rode his bike so he could lock it up at the bike racks, very exciting for him since he has wanted to do that for years.

Time to go and pick up my big boy from school, picked a good day to ride the bike it is about to rain here any minute so I guess I will have a wet tail by the time I get home.

First day of PREP

Well it is Tristans first day of prep today. Surprisingly I wasn't as sad as I thought I would be. Probrobly because I was so cross with him to be sad. He was so excited to be going to prep that he decided that I was taking too long to get Seth and everything else into the car that he grabed his scooter and just took off (we only live three streets away from the school and should be walking anyway but we had all of the first day books and extra stuff) I was sitting in the car thinking he would be coming back and he didn't so we drove to school and he only about two-hundred meters from the front gate. I was so angry and so proud all at the same time. Happy that he knew the way and was eager to get there but angry that he didn't do as he was told. Growing up too fast for his own good.

Sethy on the other hand was not happy about going to his new daycare center. His cousin is in the room next door and all he wanted to do is go and see him. It was so unorganised in his room as the Teachers are all on days off or sick so he had two relief teachers and the room was a major shamozel kids and stuff everywhere. I nearly cried leaving him there. But he will love it soon enough.

Last day of Daycare

Look at this TEAMWORK I love it when they work together. The two of them watching the street sweeper first thing this morning Sethy is still in his night nappy. (looks funny seeing him in a nappy now he is toilet trained)

Today was Tristan's last day of Daycare!!!! My baby is growing up Arhhh........ On Monday he starts PREP. Gosh I cant believe he is nearly 5 My brain is just swishing around my head as to where the last (nearly) 5 years have gone. So I went and got all of his uniforms today and I signed up for TUCK SHOP. I am going to be a tuckshopmum!!!!!! sounds so funny.

So we also dropped in on Seths new daycare center to check everything out and to get to know what we need and where we have to go. A little bit daunting I think we got them on a bad day Quite unorganised compared to his old daycare. But at least he will get to play with his cousin, Lachlan, at this daycare now he doesn't have Tristan to play with anymore.

On the scrapbook side of things I am racking my brain as to how I want my layout to look for the Reality scraps comp qualifying round not that I don't have any ideas the problem is I have too many great ideas and I don't know which one to do. Einy meeny miney moe.

Exploding box

So I finally finished the box I made in Alicia's Online class last Friday. The sides fold up and put the lid on and it looks just like a normal box.

So a funny thing happened while I was making the box. I have always thought of my scrapping style as being one who likes to use heaps of embelishments and over load the page but when push comes to shove I never seem to be able to do it. Then while following the instructions for the class and it involved alot of 3D paper swirls and mutiple patterned papers etc. I found it difficult to want to add lots to the box.

So I am going to really going to be thinking about how I want my style to evolve (to all of the non-scrappers out there this may sound very boring and crazy) especially throughout the Reality Scraps Comp which starts Tomorrow!!! Wish me luck.........Please!!!!

Museum Trip

Last Tuesday, I took Tristan to the Museum in Brisbane. We meet my new friend, Gigi and her son Mackinley. The boys hit it off straight away & were both really good with only a couple of disappearing acts. One of the times I don't know how they slipped past us but they were quick. At least they stuck together. So funny when it was photo time the boys knew to just pose and smile for us, can't half tell their mums scrapbook!!!

Well it was lovely to finally meet Gigi and actually have some time to talk. (which I am guessing Gigi is like me and could talk under water, as my Mum used to say)

Friday I had and excellent day, firstly I got to sleep in till 8am then after a big brekky of eggs and soldiers I managed to bribe the boys to let me do and online scrapbook class with peace and quiet, A little photo box project with Scrapbook City which was great, (still haven't finished it yet). I really like the online classes - cause I have all of MY stuff on hand and I can do it MY way with their instructions.
So even though I had to talk to the boys a couple of times during the class they were both good enough to follow through with the bribe # A trip to the movies to watch HAPPY FEET and McDonald's for dinner #. Seth is still not that into the Cinema so he was a little bit restless but Tristan was so good, he did everything he was told and was just a gem all day long. (Makes a nice change. LOL)
By the time we got home from the movies it was 4.30 and it had cooled off quite a bit so Tristan and I mowed the lawn. Tristan did such a good job only missed a couple of bits. Gotta get him trained young while it is still fun for him. After mowing we had a spa which was the perfect way to finish off a great day.

Joshua Again

Joshua is so beautiful I know I am bias but he seems to be a very well behaved baby so far. Doing everything he is supposed to do.

So I finally got his measurements:-
Weight 3850g / 8p 8ounces
Length 54cm
H/c 37cm

So here are a couple of photos of some proud Grandparents and cousins (that just couldn't stand still long enough for Mummy to take a photo) I took so many photos but hardly any turned out, we couldn't use the flash because he cried everytime the flash went off.

Born 3.51pm Thursday 11th January

Mother and baby (and Daddy) are all well.

My sister was an absolute champ only 3.5 hours of heavy labour and the only pain relief she used was the gas. And they let me stay for the whole thing!!!!! Yeah for me. So stoked it was AWESOME!! Great job Sissy and Adam. He is just perfect.

He hadn't been weighed by the time I left so I will find out tomorrow and let you all know.

Still waiting

My poor darling Sister is still waiting for her baby and to make things worse our cousin who wasn't due until the first week of Feb was induced last night (due to pregnancy related diabeties).
Thursday will be the day if nothing happens naturally, at least the doctors have given her an induction date now so she can relax a little. I know it feels like a life time when you are waiting to hold that little bundle of love.

Well at least Scrapbook City has let us in on the secret now. The new competion has been announced. REALITY SCRAP will involve a little of everything by the sounds of it with twists and turns the whole way. Very exciting.
Plus I am starting a Circle Journal with some of the girls from Scrapbook City, I have never done one before but am very excited about doing it.

This is my Diary for this year inspired by Giovanna. I went to the Quilt and Craft show last year and Gigi did a little lesson on decorating mini books. So this is my mini (medium) book.

This is My beautiful Seth, sound asleep on the couch, I would love to know what he is dreaming about. Looks serious.
Off to bed early tonight cause we had a BBQ for Hubby's birthday last night and we didn't get to sleep until 2am this morning and of course I got up with the kids at 7am and took them to the beach so Michael could sleep in (he slept in until noon). And I drank so much Coke to keep myself awake this morning I couldn't get to sleep at lunch time when the boys had their sleeps.

Christmas 2006

Well lots of photos to post so here goes.

Christmas morning we did the Santa presents and the presents from Mum and Dad.

Then off the my inlaws to have a yummy breakfast and open more presents from my husbands family.

Then to my family to open my familys presents.

Then off to have lunch at my Sisters' inlaws. (Only one week to go in her pregnancy) Well we arrived a about 1pm and didn't leave untill 11pm. I couldn't belive how much fun my hubby was having. Quad motorbikes, swimming pool, Good food and lots of new friends. He was still on the kareoke machine when I was putting the kids in the car to go. All in all a FANTASTIC day.

I got heaps of awesome presents =>$50 Scrapbooking voucher, Frangipani hairclips and earings, CD, electric salt and pepper shakers, morter and pestel, magazine subscription and a sticker for my car. So stoked!!!!

Eggs for breakfast

Well this is what happens when you go and have a shower in our house. Sethy thought it would be a great idea to make eggs for breakfast. Every egg that was left in the carton (I think 9) got put into the frying pan. He did a really good job except for a couple of bits of shell. So I reluctently cooked up all of the eggs and served them up went to finish getting ready and came back to a plate full of tomato and bbq sauce. This is why I dont wear makeup, cause I would never get out of the house.

So this is Seth after his new haircut. Not a happy boy at all!!!! He cried for the next two days saying I dont want a hair cut. Too late buddy, all gone. At one stage he said I WANT A NO-HAWK (meaning a mo-hawk) and I replied with dude you got a NO-HAWK! So funny I love it when they still cant get thier words right, it makes for much entertainment for us adults. I know I shouldn't pay out on my child but it is so much fun.

This page is my next entry for the Scrapbook City Challenge. This is from one of Alicia's Sketches on her blog site. I am really happy with how it turned out, My little king of hearts!!!

I just realized that this whole blog has been about Seth. Tristan is good too. Alittle bit of attitude lately but other than that he is growing up so fast I still cant believe he starts PREP next year.

PGA

Michael and Tristan went to the Pga at Coolum this morning and apparently they had an absolute blast, they got just about everyones autograph on his "Spiderman Hat" even Nicky Buckley (for some reason she was there). Jimmy Barnes was there too but they couldn't get his autograph (?). It is hard to make any sense from what they are saying cause they didn't get home until about 7.30pm (they arrived there at 9.30am this morning) and they are so tired and excited and have so much to tell us that I can't keep up with the stories.

The one stand out exciting story though was that Wayne Grady made a 20 foot putt and he then gave his golf ball to Tristan and signed it for him. How awesome is that?????!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I find out more I will let you know.
